A Day in Comic Fiesta 2009 in Sunway Pyramid

Seems I had to edit my blog so I can put in other posts besides Gundam models this time. (Don't worry, Gunplas will always be a priority in here). To start with, my plan got a bit sidetracked on Sunday 20th Dec when I heard about a Comic Fiesta being held in Sunway Pyramid.

The front cover of Comic Fiesta 09 hand out that I got....

So, I abandoned my original plan of reviewing next Gundam model I had and go to Sunway. And man....it sure is a paradise there.

To enter, everyone had to pay MYR 15.00 for a 1-day ticket(you get a paper wristband,so lose it, and you had to pay for another). The event kick-off at about 11 a.m, but I got there at about 1 p.m, so I miss the opening ceremony(like I miss it a lot!!!!)

Wasted no time in my camwhoring session.

Eventhough its a comic fiesta, you still can't miss the sight of cosplayers and gamers

I didn't get to snap a lot during that time as I was busy focusing myself on the stage, which is showing a cosplay competition. But I did manage to take a pic of Lenne cosplayer singing '1000 Words' and the MC interviewing Kurosaki Ichigo 2nd Hollow form.

>"Can you change your dressphere on the stage now?" seems to be a perverted question, better don't ask...

>"Hey, no Cero is allowed in here man!"

Mostly, people came to buy some hard-to-get items such as doujins work, limited items on sale, and of course, TO HAVE A PHOTOGRAPHY PARADISE WITH THE COSPLAYERS!!!
Man, I can only take a few shots as I am too awed at the cosplayers (for God's sake, I swear I only recognize half of the characters!!!!)

Oh Yuna, will you sing me a song in my bed? Just kidding...

I dunno what is she cosplaying, but she sure is cute, so she deserved to be here. Meow~~~~

Edward Elric is doing alchemy here, so the organizer had to stop him.Oops, did I say he, I mean SHE....

I don't have the courage to ask her on date as I fear the Clone Trooper besides her...

NG 1/100 Scale ZGMF-X23S - Saviour Gundam

Greetings to all of you who loves Gundam series and Gunpla fans. This is my second post about my Gundam collection. I don't know why, but I seem to have a strong admiration on Gundam that can transform. So, I bought a second 1/100 scale Gundam that is piloted by Athrun Zala in Gundam SEED Destiny, the Saviour Gundam!!!

Piloted by Athrun Zala during the first half of SEED Destiny, this unit doesn't get much battle action when confronting Reo Noaroke's Phantom Pain (Saviour usually engage Chaos Gundam during their battle). However, Saviour does play a vital role in Battle at the Lohengrin Gate as Athrun clears a way for Shinn/Impulse to take down the Lohengrin.

That's the best history of the Saviour Gundam that is worth mentioning, I think (yeah it is, I can't mention that it got destroyed by Freedom/Kira or it will spoil the fun).I got this model for MYR 94.00, so its not a bad deal.;p

Apparently, this model needs a bit of lining work as it is not quite detailed. The one I post is after the lining work is finished, so it is a bit messy.

Like the Aegis Gundam, the Saviour is also capable of transforming into Jet Mode but with a better mobility. The main problem is, the joint is pretty much loose, so I had to be careful handling it (thankfully the problem isn't as bad as my Wing Gundam.)

Nevertheless, it still maintain its position as 1 of my fav Gundam from the SEED Destiny timeline. Too bad it wasn't given much exposure. I just wish it can have a bit of action against the Freedom or Impulse.

Right now, I don't know if I should get the recently Vent Saviour Gundam (which series did it come from???). I heard it has a bit differences from the Saviour though. But I'd best start saving money for a better Gundam model (I'm planning to buy Dynames or Unicorn MG) or maybe to buy some accessories for my motorbike.Hiii....

Ok then, that's all I wanna write for the moment. I was thinking of writing a review of HG 1/144 Exia that I got at an expo.Ciaossu.

MG MS XXXG-01W Wing Gundam Ver. Ka

Hi, this blog contain pictures about my first ever MG Gundam model. The main Gundam from Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Wing Gundam. I thought about buying it since it has a discount price (actually I was planning on buying 1/100 Saviour Gundam from MS Gundam SEED Destiny). And I can't complain, it is certainly a beauty like an angel..;p

This model took me about 3 week to finish as I don't do any airbrushing or painting (just assembling and lining)

As an amateur modeler, I can admit there will be some mistake on the lining and assembling. The model is quite detail for a MG version, I have no complaint about it.;p

This model is a beauty too when it transformed to its Bird Mode. And guess what???It wasn't quite complicated as I expected. Just a bit of twisting at the arm and leg, putting its Shield and Buster Rifle on its head, and its ready to launch!!!

However, I'm not quite satisfied with its arm part. I don't know if other Wing Gundam got the same problem, but the arm part can't hold the Buster Rifle in Lock-in position like Dynames did. And the shoulder get detached easily its quite annoying.

And since its finger is a flexible-type, it is quite hard to hold the Buster Rifle with one hand.So I tended to make the model hold its beam saber a lot (and I can't complain, it certainly looks better holding the beam saber!!!).
